WHAT DOES YOUR FURNITURE SAY ABOUT YOU?
Furniture, mirrors and rugs, vases and lampshades, and each of the other things that fill your life has a form. And those forms really, really matter. Their styles and placement signal you and everyone who visits your home or office in meaningful ways. For example, having relatively more rectilinear shapes signals “efficiency” – which is nicer in a laundry room than a living room where you’d like people to relax and mingle. More to consider: seeing ourselves in a mirror makes us likely to “follow the rules” – isn’t it time to move a mirror into the entryway where you’d like people to put away their boots and mittens and not leave them strewn across the floor?
