If you’re a regular reader of The Space Doctors, then you’ll know that light makes a difference to how you feel and how you react to a situation. Here we share some research that is further proof on why a certain warmth of light affects how you feel.
Ozkul, Bilgili, and Koc found that when “five experiments were conducted in five ambient lighted in different colours. . . . the perception of service quality and the level of satisfaction were higher in red and yellow-lighted ambient than those in blue and green-lighted ambient.”
These are the project details:
“Yellow, blue, red, and green lights were obtained by covering the surface of white bulbs with colored gelatin.”
These findings are likely relevant to home environments also.
