
First, let’s talk about outdoor plants.
The research consistently shows that mental refreshment and lower stress levels flow most smoothly and certainly from looking at green leafy plants. If you live in a desert, or just like cactuses, this makes your life more complicated. Make sure that views people may have as they sit in your yard or garden include a couple of green leafy plants. These plants don’t have to be huge, just clearly visible, a couple of feet tall is probably sufficient. In pots is fine if your soil is bad. Flowers can be nice, but they are not required, only those bendy branches and curvy leaves are really required.
Scents
Your plants will, of course, have a smell. That is the way that living things are. People, no matter where they’re from, generally like to be in spaces that smell, even very faintly, of flowers. The scent of jasmine can be particularly desirable, calming those who smell it. Lavender is also relaxing to smell and doing so also increases how trusting we feel, which is great if you’re spending time with friends.
