Add an aquarium to your world.  Fish are the perfect new friends to invite into your home.   Research consistently shows that watching actual aquariums or videos of them, does good things for our wellbeing and even our mood.  Watching fish swim can also help us refresh mentally after we’ve been mentally exhausted by doing knowledge work.  Fish swimming around in front of us in their aquariums draw us into their world and while we’re pondering their aqueous existences, our minds get the sort of mental break that revitalizes it.
